The Sister Agnes Burrows Memorial Bursary

This award has been established to honor the legacy of Sr. Agnes Burrows (1931-2018), a Sister of Charity whose lifelong dedication to issues of peace and social justice at home and abroad inspired so many. 

The annual award of $1000 will be open to a Cape Breton University student enrolled in the School of Arts & Social Science (full or part-time) with an average of at least 75%, who displays an interest in social justice issues.  Consideration will be given to an applicant in need of financial support.

We invite you today to join us in supporting this cause by donating to the bursary fund and by spreading the word to all those who might be interested in preserving the legacy of Sister Agnes’ tireless work to make the world a better place for all.
